While some brides selections tend to follow the more popular trends in bridal wear, there have been that select group who opt for more traditional gowns. The bridal industry has seen a revival in the white gowns of the past, which is a deviation from the off-white and champagne colored gowns that had surged into popularity in past seasons.
With off-white having been the mainstay selection for brides, it is more likely this transition is owed to the seasonal change in trends oppose to the nuances of tradition and the stigmas that can go with having or not having a white gown. Certainly we've been liberated from all of that and the worry that it brought. After all, the gown is a merely a stylish reflection of the bride and her personal taste. Whether this is due to resurgence in classic tradition or simply another change in the forecast on the fashion cycle, this trend is sure to influence this coming season's bridal collections.
One prime example of a bride choosing white is our infamous Sofia shown above! Who would have thought our typical champagne/off white beauty would look so glorious in white with an off white overlay!
